This week's poll is about as mixed up and mashed up as this season currently is. There is true consensus in the top three places and then a bit of a bubble for the next spot. With the conference title games this weekend, it'll be interesting to see it all shake out. Only four will be standing after this week. Who will it be? 1) CLEMSON (2) (20)
2) WISCONSIN (18) 3) AUBURN (16) 4) (TIE) ALABAMA (11) GEORGIA (11) OKLAHOMA (11) 7) MIAMI (10) 8) (TIE) CENTRAL FLORIDA (4) TCU (4) 10) OHIO STATE (3) Also receiving votes: Stanford (1)

It was a relatively slow week with very little movement in the poll. Expect “Rivalry Week” to stir things up a bit:
1) (TIE) ALABAMA (1) (19) MIAMI (1) (19) :) WISCONSIN (16) 4) CLEMSON (14) 5) (TIR) AUBURN (10) OKLAHOMA (10) 7) GEORGIA (9) 8) (TIE) CENTRAL FLORIDA (4) OHIO STATE (4) 10) NOTRE DAME (3) Also receiving votes: TCU (2) A crazy week in college football caused a lot of upheaval in the poll.
Going strictly by points we had four ties for positions in the poll. In one instance the two deadlocked teams had played and the winning is given a head-to-head tie breaker consideration and takes the higher seed. We have two ties in the Top 4, which denotes our playoff predictions. So the poll shows a tie at #1 as well as at #3. Despite differing rankings on individual ballots, the four playoff teams are consensus. Here's the poll: 1) (TIE) ALABAMA (1)(19) MIAMI (1)(19) 3) (TIE) CLEMSON (15) WISCONSIN (15) 5) OKLAHOMA (11) 6) AUBURN (9*) 7) GEORGIA (9) 8) (TIE) CENTRAL FLORIDA (4) OHIO STATE (4) 10) NOTRE DAME (3) - Also receiving votes: TCU (2) * denotes a tie breaker consideration given for a head-to-head win We are getting down to what should prove to be some of the biggest games of the year. Major rivalries and teams jockeying for playoff position will ramp up the excitement another notch or two. There has been some movement in our poll. Wisconsin has eased up, Miami dropped back. Penn State and the Buckeyes tumbled out while Auburn and UCF were able to sneak in the back door. Looking at the poll itself, there seems to be consensus on the Top 6. The biggest gap in votes is between #6 and #7 which seems to suggest that we have narrowed down the playoff reality to six teams. After that, the others have something to prove to us. 1) ALABAMA (1)(19)
2) GEORGIA (1) (16) 3) WISCONSIN (15) 4) (TIE) CLEMSON (14) NOTRE DAME (14) 6) MIAMI (13) 7) OKLAHOMA (7) 8) TCU (6) 9) WASHINGTON (5) 10 (TIE) AUBURN (1) UCF (1) |
